Sun DRY - Nature’s Purest Preservation

Harnessing the power of the sun, sun-drying is one of the most natural and traditional methods of preserving fruit. This technique gently removes moisture using warm air and sunlight, ensuring the fruit retains its authentic flavor, vibrant color, and essential nutrients.

By allowing nature to take its course, sun-drying eliminates the need for artificial preservatives or additives. The result is a wholesome, nutrient-rich product that captures the essence of fresh fruit in every bite.

Sultanas are naturally sun-dried from selected seedless grape varieties, concentrating their sweet and fruity flavor. With historical roots going back to Ottoman trade routes, these raisins were once enjoyed on royal tables — a nutritious treat served to Sultans. The term “Sultana” is inspired by the word “Sultan,” highlighting its heritage and prestige.

Turkish-grown Thompson-type raisins are internationally recognized for their close resemblance to Californian Thompsons in both taste and aroma, while offering a more economical alternative. They are widely used across the baking industry, particularly in breads, pastries, and cereal blends.

According to Turkish Standard TS 3411, sultanas are color-graded into five types: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11.
Type 7 represents the darkest berries, while Type 11 indicates the lightest color. This classification ensures visual consistency and quality assurance in commercial applications.

Dried apricots are produced by naturally drying ripe apricots under the sun to preserve their sweet, tangy flavor and chewy texture. Grown mainly in the Malatya region of Turkey — the world’s leading apricot producer — these fruits are rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals.

Their vibrant orange color is achieved through careful drying and controlled sulfur treatment, while natural sun-dried varieties offer a deeper brown hue and a more intense, earthy taste. Turkish dried apricots are highly sought-after in international markets for their consistent quality and versatility in snacks, cereals, confectionery, and baking.
